As part of the "Employability Enrichment" series in our university’s Joint Multi-Degree (JMD) programme, Mr.Li Xiaopeng, Dean of the International Education College led a group of JMD students on October 27-28 to Ningbo, to participate in the specialized visit to the Zeekr Smart Factory. Over 30 international students from Italy, Spain, Colombia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other countries joined this event.

Zeekr Smart Factory, recognized as a national-level 5G factory and one of Zhejiang Province’s first "factories of the future," boasts cutting-edge technological expertise and a highly efficient management system. The international students embarked on a journey into Zeekr’s world of intelligent manufacturing, listening to stories behind the renowned products and experiencing the beauty of digitalized industry.

In the exhibition hall, students watched Zeekr’s promotional video and witnessed real-time data displays powered by a 5G + industrial internet platform, experiencing firsthand the strong pulse of Zeekr’s operations. They also explored Zeekr’s core technology platform, the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture), fully appreciating Zeekr's dedication to ultimate performance and intelligent connectivity. In the welding and assembly workshops, students observed automated conveyor systems delivering parts, robotic arms executing precise welding processes, and the meticulous assembly and calibration of vehicle components, gaining a deep understanding of Zeekr’s advanced technology, rigorous craftsmanship, and its core philosophy of "Do it right the first time."

Through this social practice activity, our international students ventured beyond the campus to gain insights into Ningbo, a city where technology and history intersect. With their own eyes, ears, and footsteps, they observed, listened to, and explored China.
