The University of Cambridge, founded in 1209, is a world-renowned institution of higher education with extensive academic influence in numerous fields. With a history spanning over 800 years, the University of Cambridge is a place where tradition meets cutting-edge research. It has nurtured scientific legends including Newton, Turing and Hawking, literary and philosophical leaders such as Byron, Bacon and Russell, and notable political figures like Cromwell and Lee Kuan Yew. To date, Cambridge boasts 121 Nobel Prize laureates and, in the 2024 QS World University Rankings, it proudly takes the top spot in the UK and the second globally. Today, Cambridge’s rich history, iconic architecture and stunning river Cam provide an inspirational setting for students.
Since 2020, our university has introduced the "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" course from the University of Cambridge, actively promoting local international education, and has annually organized our undergraduate students to participate in Cambridge University's winter and summer joint programmes. To date, over 150 students have participated in the introduced course and summer programs.
In August 2023, ECUST signed a "Memorandum of Understanding Between University of Cambridge and East China University of Science and Technology". This agreement marks a new chapter in the collaboration between our university and the University of Cambridge, further strengthening cooperation with world's leading universities in co-shaping a sustainable future.
